Chippewa National ForestChippewa National Forest

The Chippewa National Forest in northern Minnesota covers a huge proportion of Itasca County. We live among hundreds of thousands of acres of wilderness and relatively little private land. The Forest itself consists of 1.6 million acres, and hosts the largest population of nesting bald eagles in the lower 48 states. During your stay, you may see osprey, eagles, pileated woodpeckers, hawks, red foxes and of course lovely white tail deer.

The Burrows Lake area, on the east side of Chippewa, is especially beautiful - this is extraordinarily rare property. Year round, the lake and the forest await you on this unique site. Burrows Lake Cabin is available for weekly rental.

Field Of Dreams & Bob Dylan

There are three famous things about Hibbing / Chisholm Minnesota, where the doctor who built Burrows Lake Cabin spent his life. Unless you're a devotee of taconite mining, we have links to the important two out of three: Moonlight Graham in the movie Field of Dreams, and Bob Dylan, who was born and grew up there!
