Historic Burrows Lake Cabin provides beauty and privacy like almost no rental property in Northern Minnesota. It's the only house on 91 acres, in the middle of 1630 feet of shoreline, 25 feet from the water, and across from thousands of feet of shoreline belonging to Chippewa National forest. You feel as if you're on your own lake!
The cabin was built in 1962 from locally harvested beams, siding and rock for the beautiful fireplace. We have painstakingly restored and thoroughly updated the 2500 square foot house (furnaces, insulation, staining, fireplace, furniture, appliances, windows, carpeting, structural refurbishing, septic system, pathways and complete redecoration). It's private, comfortable & beautiful.

Great Room
The Burrows Cabin great room is lovely - 50 year old, 26 foot long hand-hewn beams from logs on the property, hand made paneling and a fireplace collected rock by rock. The views outside are breathtaking.
The room also has a pair of chairs opposite the fireplace, a TV with DVD and CD player and a leather lounge chair. The kitchen and a breakfast area are adjacent.

Kitchen and Breakfast Nook
The galley kitchen is small, and complete - dishwasher, fridge, gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, hand-built cabinets, new lighting plus views of the lake and our gorgeous fireplace! It is stocked with complete cooking equipmment, including professional Calphalon cookware. The kitchen lies between the full dining room and a breakfast nook that flows into the great room. The full laundry room and a bathroom with shower are around the corner.

Dining Room
The Dining Room has panoramic views of the lake, beamed ceiling, and a table that seats 8 adults comfortably.

Master Bedroom
The Master Bedroom is 30 feet long. It has an in suite bathroom (with shower, tub and double sinks and mirrors), handmade paneling, vaulted ceiling in bedroom and bathroom. Wake up seeing the lake, hearing the loons.

Loft and Upstairs
Wow! It's hard to take pictures of this 26 foot long upstairs bedroom and sitting room - there's a support beam right in the middle of it! There are 2 full sized beds (with brand new Sealy Posturepedic Pillowtop mattresses) at one end and a seating area at the other. It's a lovely, cozy room with fully beamed ceiling, 5 windows around the room (and 2 extra internal windows over the great room). The lake view is out of 3 windows, and the sounds of the lake and the pine trees are glorious. There is a room air conditioner in case you need it in the summer.

Exterior of Cabin
Burrows Lake is long and thin (over 2 miles long). Our cabin is half way along the east shore, facing beautiful sunsets and receiving a continual west breeze. We chose stain colors that help the cabin blend into the landscape. It was a gorgeous choice for subtlety; it's like finding Waldo for photos!
